What did we learn after UFC Vegas 26 main and co main event fights? Alex Morono got the biggest victory of his professional career with a first round KO over Donald COWBOY Cerrone. The opportunity came and THE GREAT WHITE accepted the challenge after Diego Sanchez was released from the UFC. His last fight was a loss against Anthony Pettis back in December of 2020. A victory over a legend like Cowboy raises his stock especially in a stacked welterweight division, he also took home an extra 50k bonus. What does this mean for Cowboy moving forward? Well Dana White says he has one fight left so its Do or Die for Cerrone. After the fight Cowboy said he didn’t want to go out this way, his last win came back in 2019, so Cerrone is on the downfall and its sad seeing a legend being KO’d. So we’ll all be tuned in for this final fight, and lets hope Cerrone leaves the sport with a win and a big win like we’ve all grown to love from him.

The main event was a banger, these ladies threw down and left it all in the octagon in a Flyweight bout. In her debut in the division Marina Rodriguez took down a veteran in Karate Hottie, giving her a notable victory and improving to 4-1-2 in the UFC with her only loss coming to former 115 pound champion Carla Esparza in a very close split decision. Ranked number 6 in the strawweight division she came into this one eyeing a shot at the belt held by Rose Namajunas, but it might be too soon for that, a fight that makes sense and could be for a number one contender is against either Mackenzie Dern or a rematch against Esparza. Whatever the case Rodriguez has put the division on notice.
