The MMA world is about to be rocked with a new promotion being unveiled.
Ariel Helwani reported that a new promotion named the "World Fight League" hopes to make its debut in 2023.
The group of ownership is made up of several former and current professional athletes from the world of NBA, NFL, and MMA, including multiple MMA world champions, five former MMA promoters, former MMA executives and matchmakers, actors, and recording artists.

The league will consist of four conferences, North America, South America, Europe/Africa, and Asia/Oceana.
Each conference will consist of no less than eight teams and no more than 24. Each team will roster 24 athletes, compromising of three athletes per weight class.

They are currently focused on launching in North America first, however the framework is in place for a true world league.
There are currently six approved franchise owners with four in the United States and two in Canada. The plan is to launch the league in the United States but the report states that the fundamentals are in place to launch the league worldwide.

The conferences will be launched as soon as there are eight established team owners.
Independent franchise owners will put together rosters through a league entry draft or free agency to compete in a traditional league format with home and away competitions.
