Governor Cuomo Guilty?
New York Attorney General Letitia James announced the conclusion of the states investigation that found Governor Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women and violated state and federal law.
At a press conference today President Biden was asked if he would call on Cuomo to resign, Biden said yes. "I think he should resign, i understand that the state legislature may decide to impeach, I don't know that for a fact, I have not read all that data," Biden said.
Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has also called for Gov. Cuomo to resign in a statement today.
"Under Attorney General Letitia James, a comprehensive and independent investigation into the allegations against Governor Andrew Cuomo has been completed. "As always, I commend the women who came forward to speak their truth. "Recognizing his love for New York and the respect for the office he holds, I call upon the Governor to resign."
Early Tuesday Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, both New York Democrats, released a joint statement calling the allegations against Cuomo, "profoundly disturbing, inappropriate and completely unacceptable."
Cuomo denied the claims, even suggesting the investigation was tainted by bias and political motivation. " I want you to know directly from me that I never touched anyone inappropriately or made inappropriate sexual advances," Cuomo said in a lengthy speech.
