The NBA free agency opened up on August 2nd at 6 p.m. et, and players were flying off the shelves. New Orleans guard Lonzo Ball landed a four year, $85 million contract with the Chicago Bulls in a sign and trade agreement, sending Thomas Satorasky, Garrett Temple, and second round pick to the Pelicans.

The New York Knicks kept their free agents, Alec Burks, Nerlens Noel, Derrick Rose and added Celtics Evan Fournier to a four year $78 million deal.

Kelly Olynyk lands with the Detroit Pistons on a three year $37 million deal. Kyle Lowry lands with the Miami Heat on a three year $90 million deal. The Lakers add some vets in Trevor Ariza and Dwight Howard, but lose Alex Carusso to the Chicago Bulls on a four year $37 million deal.
The Houston Rockets sign Daniel Theis on a four year $36 million deal.

Some big names will remain on there current teams, Chris Paul signed a four year deal that could be worth as much as $120 million. Duncan Robinson signs a five year $90 million deal, Tim Hardaway Jr signs a four year $74 million deal to stay next to Luka. All Star Mike Conley is staying with the Utah Jazz on a three year $72.5 million deal. Cavalier center Jarret Allen signs the five year $100 million deal. Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat signs a max deal of $184 million for four years. Gary Trent Jr stays with the Raptors on a three year $54 million deal.

Trae Young singed an extension with the Hawks for five years and roughly $207 million, as did Shai Gilegous Alexander with the Thunder for five years $172 million.
