The NBA PLAYOFFS finally concludes and Giannis and the Bucks did not disappoint the people of Milwaulkee. Giannis carried his squad with 50 points 14 rebs 5 blks..whats most impressive is what he accomplished all without possessing a 3pt or mid range game right now..just all grit...like Bron said ‘Greek Freak is Hooping” was straight hooping. Of course, Kris Middleton deserve credit stepping up with clutch shots. CP3 goes down in his first Finals appearance ever while Monty Williams and the Suns lose with class, after a monumental season.
So What else is HANNIN in the NBA..
The WNBA all-star game showcased the continual talent amongst the women league. This year was very entertaining, a total of six players hitting double digits including the all star MVP Arike Ogunbowale with 26 pts. Very impressive when you look at the roster starring Sue Bird, Jonquel Jones, Aj’a Wilson, Breanna Stewart and Candace Parker to name a few.
Speaking of her greatness in Candace Parker..she has made history or should i say “HER” story..as the first female basketball player on the cover of any popular video game! The Chicago sky and future Hall of Famer will appear on the NBA 2k22 cover for the WNBA 25th anniversary special edition released on September 10th, this year.
Now as we continue to give recognition to women applying pressure..this years Espys consisted of some jaw dropping speeches that had to been heard around the world. One in particular was herald by Uconns Bball star Paige Bueckers as she walks to the podium to receive her award for Best female college athlete..check out episode two for video!
After each season ends, another Head coaching jobs begins. Here are notable hires worth keeping an eye on for the next NBA season.
The Atlanta hawks keep Nate McMilliam who served as interim head coach during their playoff push this year..mcmilliam looks to build on this years impressive playoffs run'.
The Boston Celtics move on from Brad Stevens for Former 76ers assistant coach Ime Udoka. After the Sixers earned another playoff berth this year, the Celtics nab a new coach with post season experience.side note..Udoka engaged to Nia Long. Cool Points!
Jason Kidd is on his way to Dallas as the Mavericks new head coach in hopes he can bring some of his leadership from his playing days with the team. With talent already on the roster, Kidd has his eye on the prize next season.
While he’s replacing Rick Carlisle, the former mavericks coach will be the new man in charge for the Pacers as Indiana will try to get over the hump next season. The Pacers are in mid rebuilding mode as they look to the draft to gain more playmakers.
After 1 season, Stan Van Gundy is out the door in New Orleans as the Pelicans replace him with Willie green whose impressive resume as an assistant coach for the Suns landed him a new job. Very Much earned after a Finals appearance coaching under the Suns. Pun Intended.
Chauncey billups, now new head coach of Portland trailblazers helped the LA Clippers during their deep playoffs push this year. Billups is a proven leader and has a successful playing career on his resume.
Out of all these hires..Im looking forward to seeing how Willie Green turn things around in New Orleans with a team that has young talent in Zion and Zo.
The NFL is allowing single digit numbers for players at the skilled position..yes just like college..i disagree simply because I dont like change haha..but logically this dont make sense..the NFL is supposed to be the epitome of professional football yet I believe this is just another tactic to get more money for jersey sales..theres no player outside of a QB or special teamer that should have a single single digit. Imagine a rookie corner wearing #3 and their getting toasted all game or imagine a WR wearing #5 and they drop the game winning touchdown. If you played football before you know wearing a single digit means you one of the best of the best on your team. My point is since this is the NFL, isn’t everybody the best of the best of their former college team so keep the regular number system that helps up and coming viewers and fans learn the positions of the game more efficiently. Mark my words, this rule will be reversed one day.
The Tampa Bay Bucs received their Super bowl rings and Tom received his 7th ring, most in NFL history as a player alone. These rings consist of well over 300 diamonds, personalized name and jersey number, the teams mantra “One team, One cause’ engraved, a removable top for the first time ever. Inside there is a hand engraved stadium to commemorate the first team ever to win a Superbowl on their home turf.
ACCORDING to TOM PELISSERO, THE NEW YORK POST, and The NFL. A few coaches resign from their respective teams due to refusing to take the covid shot. Also according to bleacher report, Vikings Offensive Line coach Rick Dennison was one of two coaches reported to step down as Tier 1 staff members i.e. Coaches, scouts, etc. must get the shot while players aren’t mandatory .I can write all day how covid-19 in general is still to this day an unsolved mystery of its origin or the fact that you can still catch covid even after you take the shot..as there has been such cases all around the world..nonetheless..making individuals take a covid 19 vaccine is probably the most inhumane act ever, highly making it uncomfortable for players who aren’t vaccinated lives a living hell with multi thousand dollar fines and in some cases would cause their team to forfeit. If this really is a pandemic as they so put it, should we even be talking about any sport right now?
Coach Deion Sanders aka Primetime was highly disrespected by a reporter during a media day zoom interview. In case you missed it, take a look at Episode 2 for the presser interview. However, Only time will tell where that reporters career will go from that moment on. Coach Sanders, salute to you for always showing individuals like myself how handle those who mishandle you.
Some people need ‘A PIECE OF HUMBLE PIE” like Conor Mcgregor who proclaimed he could beat Jesus himself in the Octagon in an interview with TMZ sports. I refuse to type the other absurd comments he made but the interview is in episode 2 (how many hints do you need, go watch it already lol) . Regardless, this interview was before his infamous shin breaking incident in his most recent fight against Dustin Poirer. Morale to the story, never challenge G.O.D.
Imagine being apart of a team that wins a championship, and next year you’re drafted to an expansion team. Thats exactly whats happening in the NHL. The Seattle Krakens drafted 30 players..one per team..excluding Vegas Golden Knights..opening up opportunities for players like Carson Soucy from the Minnesota Wild and Jamie Oleksiak from Dallas Stars, to name a few. They used a real octopus to announce a pick, even Macklemore was announcing picks, Shawn kemp and Gary Payton were also announcing picks..Marshawn Lynch, Bobby Wagner were there too! What a time to be alive in Seattle!
NFL Fantasy is knocking at the door and before you enter your draft room..I suggest you take a look at which runningbacks are prime for a successful season to ensure bragging rights in your league..

-BEFORE THE LIGHTS GO OUT- Give em their flowers before their final hours, I would like to acknowledge Maya Moore for her speech at this years EPSYS (2021) for her Criminal Justice Reform Work. Her speech was touching and inspiring filled with true emotion and faithfulness to her community. She truly earned her honor as ARTHUR ASHE AWARD recipient, laying down the footwork to a pathway of change. In 2019, Moore put her successful basketball career to the side to help prisoners during resentencing and improper prosecution. She proceeded to overturn a 50 year sentence of Johnothon Irons, whom both fell in love upon hiss release and are happily married.
With that story in mind, whether your an athlete or not, we all serve a purpose that in some way or another serves others. It is within that purpose that we shine a light on what true love is all about. The only kind of love that can come through US from the Man Above. PEACE!
