Wild Fantasy Football Draft Pick

As the NFL season has begun many across the country held their fantasy football drafts this past week. I for one was apart of two different drafts, but one draft pick really had me scratching my head. This draft was a 12 man league and the pick that had me wondering why was the 11th overall pick. As you know the top names were already gone by the 11th, but some names that were still available at the running back position were, Austin Ekeler, Najee Harris, Saquon Barkley, and David Montgomery just to name a few plus some of the top 5 wide receivers in the league. But what was the pick that had me wondering, well none other than Leonard Fournette. As much as I tried understanding the pick I still can't figure it out, did he know something the rest of us didn't? Who knows, but if the strategy was to go running back in the first round why not actually take one whose a starting back for the team he plays in and not in a committee. But it's fantasy football and crazy things always happen.

I totally understand drafting Fournette a few years ago when he had tons of hype coming out of college or even after his first season with the Jags, but drafting him in the first round this year when he is competing with Ronald Jones, and even Giovanni Bernard, and we all know how much Tom Brady loves backs that can catch the ball. As the draft came back around in the typical snake format his second pick was also another back, this time he took Kareem Hunt another back who isn’t the starter on his team, as much as I try and figure it out I cant, he must know something the rest of us don’t. But the season is long and a lot can happen where these two possibly could end up as top ten running backs in the league.
