Fighting in the UFC for over a decade he first made his appearance at the age of 20, fighting the best of the best and currently on a 9 fight win streak. His journey began at the age of 9 where he spent 2 years in the hospital and doctors told him he may never walk again, he suffered from abnormal heart murmurs and rheumatoid arthritis. When he was 11 he left the hospital but received injections twice a week. He began training jiu-jitsu two months later and won a tournament 4 months later. He received the injections up until the age of 18. Now at 31 years of age and the new Lightweight Champion the sky is the limit for Oliveira, proving to be the best of the best. With a massive KO victory what’s next for the champ? Possibly the winner of Poirier, McGregor, the young hungry Brazilian now calls the shot.
