Super Mario Bros: The Movie to Hit the Big Screen

Well Looks Like Nintendo wants to further extend their franchise into the movie business, though this wouldn’t be their first time This was attempted.

Super Mario Bros is set to release in the US on December 21, 2022 and features a very promising cast with Cris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic World) casted as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch, The Queens Gambit) casted as Peach and Charlie Day (Horrible Bosses, Pacific Rim) as Luigi to name a few.

This will be the second attempt at a Super Mario Bros movie with the orginal releasing in May 28, 1993 with Bob Hoskins as Mario and John Leguizamo as Luigi, but it didn’t get great results. Although it was doing really in the video game world, people didn’t quite like the live action movie.

Maybe the Movie was ahead of its time or it might have been poorly written or directed. This go around though, Illumination Studio CEO Chris Meledandri and Super Mario Creator Shigeru Miyamoto will be tasked with producing and hopefully hitting a home run with this latest installment.

Either way if this movie Shines or bombs at the box office, Nintendo's most successful Franchise still will continue to dominate the Video Game world for many years to come and maybe pave the way for future of gaming. But for now Many can’t wait for the movie release if Miyamoto would just stop teasing the rest of the world. Keep your eyes out for it to release to a theater near you!!
